Shatta Wale, one of Africa’s most celebrated musicians, expressed his desire for more than just global fame. In a recent interview with BBC News Africa, the Ghanaian dancehall artist revealed that his biggest regret in life was not pursuing a career in law.

Despite his passion for music, Shatta Wale disclosed that he had always harbored a deep-seated desire to become a lawyer. He expressed his intention to pursue this path once he has amassed enough wealth, stating, “I’m trying, when I make enough money, I will become a lawyer.”

During the interview, Shatta Wale also shared insights into his personal preferences. He mentioned Jamaican singer Vybz Kartel’s “Mansa Musa Money” as his all-time favorite lyrics and kenkey as his favorite food.

When asked to choose between love and money, Shatta Wale firmly settled on money, emphasizing that “Love doesn’t pay the bills.”
