Toase SHS bans University interns from taking phone numbers of the female students
Toaso Senior High School (SHS) in the Ashanti Region has sent out an internal communiqué with a list of things university interns assigned to the school should and should not do.
Universities across the country have long breaks that allow most of them to have job programs approved by their different departments.
Several parts of Ghana’s economy hire these students to give them real-world experience and help them get ready for the job market.
It’s not clear why these students interning with Toase will have to follow strict rules that say they can’t give their contact information to other students or be seen alone in the school mentors’ classrooms or common areas.
It’s important to know that Toase Senior High School has both boys and girls. According to grounds checks, a section of the interns at the school are having sexual encounters with female students.
So, to curb the growing menace, the authorities of Toase Senior High School have decided to send this stern warning across, hoping that it can safeguard the morality of the school.
