“It is stupid to think Samartex won the league through corruption and bribery” – Edmund Ackah hits back at Nyaho Tamakloe

“Edmund Ackah, General Manager of Samartex FC, has denied allegations made by Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a board member of Hearts of Oak, that Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko failed to win the league title in the past two seasons due to referee bribery.

Ackah refuted the claims, stating that there is no evidence to support the accusation. “According to Nyaho-Tamakloe bribing of referees by some club officials has taken centre stage in the Ghana Premier League after a careful study by the Rainbow club.

“When referees are bribed, clubs like Accra Hearts of Oak or  Asante Kotoko will not get anywhere but I am telling them we have studied the situation carefully, and at least I can speak on the part of Accra Hearts of Oak, we shall come back with an antidote and expose all those who are behind this.”

However, this assertion has not gone down well with the current league champions whose general manager has taken to an interview on Oyerepa FM to lash out at the former GFA president that he lacks the wherewithal to compete with him any day when it comes to running a club in Ghana.

“If  Hearts of Oak is handed to him (Dr Nyaho Tamakloe) to manage currently, can he match me in the league?”, he quizzed.

He further stated that it is not nonsense for any individual to think that Samartex won the league through dubious means. “It is stupid for anyone to think Samartex won the league through Corruption and Bribery”.

The former  Asante Kotoko supporters leader threw a challenge that there is no other competent chief executive in the league who can outwit him when it comes to handling an elite club in Ghana.

“When brains are working, we shouldn’t allow shallow-minded people to cause serious damage to people’s image and brand.

Is there any CEO who is more competent to handle any GPL team like I’m doing in Samartex?”
