Education Minister Announces Reinstatement of PTAs in Public Schools

Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu has announced the reintroduction of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) into the management framework of public schools.

This move seeks to fortify cooperation between parents and teachers, ultimately leading to enhanced student learning outcomes.

At a public forum, the minister underscored the significance of PTAs in promoting community involvement in schools.

“I am delighted to declare that PTAs will be reinstated within the educational management framework under the presidency of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

This reinstatement aims to facilitate collaboration between parents and teachers, thereby improving learning outcomes in our educational institutions.

Furthermore, PTAs will support our educational institutions in producing high-quality human capital for the nation,” he stated.

As the government moves forward with this decision, schools are expected to formally reintegrate PTAs into their administrative frameworks in the coming months.
